This is more than likely the ONLY existing example of an advertising mirror from the Coon & Company Collars & Cuff Company from Troy, New York! There is very little information on this company on the web. It is associated with Corliss, Coon & Company. The only early information found was an 1896 catalog with the Corliss name attached. There is more than likely some sort of business ties to the Arrow Collar Company and the Cluett Peabody Company, also from Troy, New York. The style of easel-back would date it to the last half to last quarter of the 19th Century. This beveled glass mirror has some deterioration as you would expect from a period tin frame. This piece is of the rarity of belonging in a museum or expert level collection of detachable collars & cuffs.
